Performance
A 2.0-liter 16-valve four-cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection powers the LX, S, and EX trim levels. With 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque, you have plenty of power to make your daily errands a breeze while motivating you down the highway. Driven with an Intelligent Variable Transmission, you can select between eight ratios to fine-tune your drive. Power is either sent to the front or to all four wheels. All-wheel drive models add a lock feature for improved traction when conditions call for it.
The SX model offers more excitement with its turbocharged 1.6-liter 16-valve four-cylinder engine with Gasoline Direct Injection. It offers more power, rated at 190 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
All 2026 Seltos models with all-wheel drive feature a multi-link rear suspension, providing improved tracking on curvy roads. It also adds more flexibility when dealing with different conditions year-round. Four-wheel disc brakes are standard on all trim levels.
Front-drive models offer greater levels of efficiency, with an EPA rating of 28 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. All-wheel drive LX, S, and EX models can achieve up to 27 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. The SX model, equipped with standard all-wheel drive, can achieve approximately 24 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.
Exterior
A bold design greets you when you approach the 2026 Seltos. Its commanding front-end design starts with a large grille area, flanked by various lightning signatures. A high belt line offers protection and great side vision. The C-pillar glass is angular, which can help reduce the side blind spot. The liftgate starts with an angle from the roofline, opening down to the bumper. The rear LED lightning signature frames the rear end with a bridge across the liftgate.
All models ride on 17-inch alloy wheels, except for the SX, which rides on 18-inch wheels. Each trim level has its own unique design, distinguishing itself from other vehicles in the same class. Roof rails on the S trim level and above add more utility when the load requires it. EX and SX models add more chrome trim around the side glass profile, adding a more luxurious look. Additionally, there are two colorways featuring a two-tone roof paint on S and SX models.
Interior
The 2026 Seltos can accommodate up to five passengers inside its roomy cabin. Seats are accommodating and are made with the highest quality materials. Everyone sits higher for a better view of the road ahead. LX models wear woven cloth upholstery, while S models add SynTex trim. EX and SX models wear full SynTex upholstery.
The modern cabin offers numerous conveniences. S models and up have an automatic climate control standard to keep everyone cool – and warm – year-round. Rear seat passengers also have their own vents. Heated front seats are standard on EX and SX models, while optional on the S trim level. You can get ventilated front seats on the SX model, as well.
Loading up the back of your 2026 Seltos is easy. You have up to 26.6 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats, which can be expanded to up to 62.8 cubic feet with the 60/40 split rear seats folded down. The cargo floor also reveals hidden stowage for smaller items.
Technology
Kia is a leader in vehicle technology. That starts with a clean panoramic-style dashboard that stretches in front of the driver. LX models receive an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, while S models and up see that screen expand to 10.25 inches. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is found on EX and SX models.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are connected to all 2026 Seltos infotainment systems. Kia Connect enables these devices to fully integrate with your vehicle. You can charge your devices using the multiple USB ports throughout the cabin. EX and SX models offer wireless charging, as well.
Bose offers the ultimate in sound in the SX model, featuring eight premium speakers. They even threw in a sound mood lamp for that extra visual experience. The Kia app on your phone is a clever addition to your 2026 Seltos experience. You can set climate control from it, even when you’re at home or work.
